Clinical biomechanics is the clinical application of the principle of biomechanics. It is used by podiatrists to understand the function or biomechanics of the foot and how alterations to that biomechanics can results in many of the clinical conditions seen in clinical practice. Various strategies are put in place to alter the biomechanics of the foot to impact on the abnormal clinical biomechanics.
