The diabetic foot is the foot that has been put at increased risk of tissue damage due to the pathophysiological processes of diabetes. This includes the process of neuropathy, peripheral vascular disease and wound healing issues. Some of the complications that result include poor wound healing, infections, diabetic foot ulcers, Charcots joint and an increased risk for amputation
